I have wanted someone to beat Anderson for awhile...Vitor has a chance. Sonnen is doing a great job of talking himself up. He is a submission waiting to happen. Ask yourself this..what does Sonnen bring that Hendo doesnt do better? I am slowly becoming a Sonnen hater. He beat Nate...he exposed Nates one weakness....however, silva doesnt have the same weakness...he will sub his ass on the ground. Can someone remind this douche that Maia made him his bitch...can someone remind him that he has not finished a single fight in his UFC career, but has been finished by sub 3x |

i agree with you. whenever sonnen fights a good bjj guy he will lose. sonnens only gameplan is to take you down and try to gnp you. but when you fight someone that can do something from their back (maia) he will get subd. and everyone wants to say that andersons ground game isn't good. he trains with the freakin noguiera brothers his bjj is world class. im not a silva fan but any time he has gotten in to a bad position on the ground he has gotten out of it. my guess is if anderson gets passed vitor then he will either get a tko victory or if he manages to get a hold of anderson and get him down he will get submitted |

Sonnen is a crappier version of Hendo...cuz he has no striking and no brute strength. The reason he doesn't get KO'd is cuz he just lays on everybody the whole fight. I can't believe it but I agree 100% with mav. |

He is weak at BJJ I give you that, but he is a good fighter. He beat Nate and worked the whole time on the ground. The future of the MW division is Maia once his standup gets better |

The difference for sure is the striking between hendo and sonnen, but if it had not been for hendo trying to strike with silva, he may not have been caught...so you'd expect sonnen to forgo the striking and stick to the wrestling as his gameplan. I suppose its possible...Although I don't see silva being held down for 5 rounds. Now if vitor wins, he may be able to tame him with his wrestling, we don't really know what vitor's wrestling is like now since he hasn't faced a top tier wrestler since pride.
I found it odd how he thought Vitor would be harder route then anderson...considering vitor has struggled with wrestlers. Hopefully either guy can knock Sonnen out. |

For you guys that dont think he has the tools to beat Silva three of his last four victories have been against top 5 fighters. Who gives a fuck if hes not stopping fights he's winning them very decisivley. I am very interested to see what He brings to the table agains Silva or Belfort. |

I disagree with top 5 fighters hes beat. Nate yes, Okami, ovverated, Mia, beat his ass. I am a Sonnen hater, he is one dimensional and has no chance with Silva. |

Sonnen's anti-bjj antics are his crux. Some of his higher profile losses have came from: Horn (twice) via subs, Babalu via sub, Filho via sub, Maia via sub. Top game doesn't always win fights and his failure to recognize that will be his downfall when he fights either Silva or Belfort. Belfort's BJJ is mostly defensive but I think he'd fair fine against Sonnen. |
